The Fundamentals – Session 2
Join us for session two of The Fundamentals.
In session 2, we go straight into the breath. Breathing is the focal point of mindfulness and meditation, but do we do it well enough to benefit our mind and body? Proper breathing is imperative in order to truly be healthy in every aspect of our life. We’re going to show you how to start thinking about holistic physiology — the connections to breath, mind, and body. We’ll start waking ourselves up to breathing the best way we can to get the most out of our meditations and taking that into our daily lives. Inspirations for this segment stem from Danny Penman, Ph.D. and his book, The Art of Breathing. This segment also borrows techniques developed from Patrick McKeown’s insightful book, The Oxygen Advantage. We will do more mediations in future sessions on breathing, meditation, and training techniques, which is invaluable for anyone seeking to improve sports performance, sleep, asthma, energy, and overall health.
